First Solar, Inc. director Michael J. Ahearn reported an ownership change in First Solar common stock tied to the company’s quarterly director compensation program. The transaction occurred on June 30, 2026, and was reported on a Form 4 filed July 1, 2026. The filing states that the shares were granted as quarterly equity compensation paid to First Solar’s “non-associate directors.” This indicates the transaction was not an open-market purchase or sale, but an equity award issued by the company as part of director pay. The security involved was First Solar common stock. The document excerpt does not provide the number of shares granted, the transaction price or value, the transaction code, or Ahearn’s beneficial ownership after the grant. It also does not describe vesting terms, if any, beyond the explanatory note that the award represents quarterly equity compensation for non-associate directors. The report matters because director equity grants align board compensation with shareholder value and increase the reporting person’s beneficial ownership in the company. The filing was signed on Ahearn’s behalf by Jason E. Dymbort as attorney-in-fact on July 1, 2026.
