About the company

Mondelez International, Inc. Class A

Mondelez International, Inc. is an American multinational confectionery, food, holding, beverage, and snack food company based in Chicago. Mondelez has an annual revenue of about $38.5 billion and operates in approximately 160 countries. It ranked No. 108 in the 2021 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue. The company has its origins as Kraft Foods Inc., which was founded in Chicago in 1923. The present enterprise has operated since 2012 when Kraft Foods Inc. was renamed Mondelez and retained its snack food business, while its North American grocery business was spun off to a new company called Kraft Foods Group, which three years later merged with Heinz to form Kraft Heinz. The name Mondelez is derived from the Latin word mundus and delez, a derivative of the word "delicious". Mondelez manufactures chocolate, cookies, biscuits, gum, confectionery, and powdered beverages.

Market action

A concise summary of the latest filing, transaction, or market-moving item.

Mondelez International, Inc. reported a Form 4 insider ownership change for Amit Banati involving the company’s Class A common stock, with the transaction date listed as July 1, 2026. The filing indicates that Banati received equity-based compensation awards under Mondelez’s 2024 Performance Incentive Plan. The reported awards included Deferred Stock Units, or DSUs. According to the filing note, the DSUs vest over three years in annual installments: 33% on July 1, 2027, another 33% on July 1, 2028, and the remaining 34% on July 1, 2029. DSUs generally represent a right to receive shares, or the value of shares, at a future date, subject to the stated vesting terms. The filing also references stock options awarded to Banati. These options follow the same three-year vesting schedule: 33% vesting on July 1, 2027, 33% on July 1, 2028, and 34% on July 1, 2029. The document excerpt does not provide the number of options, the exercise price, expiration date, transaction code, or Banati’s post-transaction beneficial ownership. No open-market purchase or sale is described in the provided filing text. Instead, the reported action appears to be a compensation-related equity grant, combining DSUs and options tied to Mondelez’s incentive plan. The staggered vesting schedule is notable because it links the value of the awards to continued service and the company’s future stock performance over the next three years.
